Assemblies

The Power of Stories

Delivered to any age group and audience size, Kimberly’s engaging The Power of Stories assembly keeps students captivated from beginning to end. Focusing on why stories matter, she explores the power of storytelling to build empathy, shape identity, challenge perspectives and inspire change.

Through interactive discussion and reflection, students are encouraged to recognise the value of their own voices and the impact their words can have. Kimberly’s dynamic and uplifting session leaves young people feeling empowered, energised and ready to tell their own stories.

Quiet Storm

This engaging assembly uses Quiet Storm as a powerful springboard to explore identity, confidence and creative expression.

Drawing on themes of self-belief and the role sport can play in building confidence, Kimberly explores how different strengths show up in different ways — whether through words, teamwork, determination or quiet courage. Students discover how both storytelling and sport can become tools for growth, resilience and self-esteem.

Using the novel as inspiration, students take part in guided creative activities, exploring the power of language before crafting their own self-portrait poems. The session is interactive, uplifting and designed to leave every student feeling seen, empowered and proud of who they are.

Always Angel

This interactive assembly uses Always Angel as a powerful backdrop for exploring labels, identity and the idea that not everything is as it seems.

Students examine what it means to be defined by expectations — whether through behaviour labels, stereotypes or self-doubt — and consider how these can shape the way we see ourselves and others. Through guided discussion, reflective moments and engaging activities woven throughout, students explore Angel’s journey and the pressures she faces.

Encouraging honesty, empathy and self-belief, this assembly empowers young people to challenge limiting labels, recognise their strengths and understand that they are more than the boxes others may try to place them in. Students leave feeling affirmed, reflective and inspired to believe in themselves.

Workshops

Creative Writing

Drawing on the imaginative themes from her work, Kimberly leads dynamic and engaging Creative Writing Workshops that take students on a journey to explore new worlds and unlock their creativity.

Through interactive exercises, storytelling prompts, and guided reflection, participants experiment with character, setting, and plot, discovering fresh ways to bring their ideas to life. Students are encouraged to write with flair, curiosity, and confidence, learning how to enrich their stories while overcoming creative self-doubt.

This workshop is designed to inspire, energise, and equip young writers with the tools to craft imaginative, original stories that reflect their unique voices.
